In this scene, Joey is practicing for an acting role where his character smokes. However, Joey doesn't know how to smoke convincingly. His friend Chandler, a former smoker, teaches him how to hold a cigarette and make it look natural. Chandler eventually gives in to temptation and smokes a cigarette himself.
