And I've been presented with a prompt here asking if there were any concerns with how the Cannabis Act was handled locally federally or at a provincial level. I would like to start by saying that as I remember a few years ago when the Act was becoming legal and a lot of people were talking about it. And while the government had tried their best to inform the people. I felt that there was a lot of misinformation on it and part of the blame I feel
Goes to the federal government. So the federal government had decided this is something we're doing that inform the public in their legal. Jargon and then left the rest of the responsibility to the federal and provincial governments who actually didn't really have much of a platform to continue informing their citizens either. For example, my parents speak Punjabi. They have a hard time understanding English and really understanding some of the political
Knocks, I got passed or get talked about and they truly felt very uncomfortable when that act was being passed because they weren't understanding why it was getting past it always understood that marijuana was horrible and that no one should be taking it. And so when they heard that oh, this is getting like it's becoming legal and children and anyone else in the community can access it. There were quite concerned. So I felt there was a lot of misinformation with the way it was handled and there could have been a lot more that was done.
One of the things is perhaps opening Community forums allowing community members to attend and get more information on it releasing or making more resources in different languages. So that more people can access information and understand why it was happening similarly when dispensaries were opening up all over the place. A lot of neighborhoods were concerned that they were these dispensaries were coming in their location. And so again creating a more informed environment would have really helped establish Trust.
But with the general population and explain to them why this was a beneficial beneficial act to have in Canada.
