What health issue facing British Columbians are you most passionate about? Why?
Health issue facing Ontarian that are most passionate about is inadequate funding to Long-Term Care Homes during the covid-19 pandemic governments had have been forced to spend a lot of money on health care and other social security measures. However, it's become very apparent that funding to Long-Term Care Homes has been inadequate for a long time now and the effects of it has been very severe on long-term care home residents ensuring a
adequate funding to long-term care home is very important because these are the members that are most modern. These are some of the most vulnerable members of society right now long-term care home residents. There can be up to 50 residents living on one floor. These residents are often cramped in very small spaces spaces including having multiple residences in one room. This makes spreading of infectious diseases like covid-19.
Very easy and these residences in people who are older. We know that that are most severely affected by covid-19. We also know that these residents in long-term care homes are are getting inadequate care because of the because of lack of funding such as inadequate Personal Care by priests W's and adequate nursing care because there is one nurse to about 30 residences in long-term care facilities.
Holmes ensuring adequate funding can make sure that these residences have adequate spacing to live in not cramping many residences into one room. We can ensure that there is enough support for these patients include these residences including enough personal support care workers that can provide adequate everyday care to them. We can ensure that there is enough nursing care. So there's nurses enough nurses in the retirement home.
To provide adequate assessments provide and provide medications and adequate times to ensure that things are not missed and to ensure that diseases are not rapidly spread through these homes in summary. I believe that inadequate funding to long-term care home is a major issue facing Ontario governments should improve more funding to these facilities to make sure that there is adequate spacing adequate.
Port workers and adequate nursing and medical care for these residents
